Default New Guild Wars Bug!

Hey. Just wanted to let you know that there's a new bug going around (especially in TA) That guilds [name reference removed] have been using. It's not so much a way to cheat as it is funny. Esentially they seem to lag out, then they start attacking FRIENDLIES. It looks as if they have dropped out of the game, but they can kill you. And you're helpless (you can't target THEM.)

The wierdest part? Once they kill you, their names turn DARK red. Just like UO, or mmorpgs with PKs. I kid you not. This is friggin wierd. Don't believe me? Try a few rounds with you and a friend (2 people) in TA. It's a strange bug. I think it has something to do with Frozen soil as well. Anyone seen this happen?

Not to be the voice of skepticism ... but this sounds highly unlikely. Can anyone else confirm?

I've yet to see this ... i'll have to go play around in TA some tonight, if not to just be amazed at the strange occurances.

I'd be careful with this sort of thing, you know ANet's stance on purposefully exploiting a bug ... don't get yourself banned

Please don't share how to execute this bug on the forum. As GW players your first duty is to report it to support.guildwars.com and wait until it's properly dealt with, if it is a bug.

???? Then all those ppl who used ranger spike would get banned 'cause thats a bug....

However I still deleted that. I don't c how you could activate something like that.

Anet better fix this before GWWG

Yes i saw this in random arena just now, wasn't sure if it was some mod being gay or some glitched up retard, but I hope a-net fixes this soon.

There's a difference between a minor broken skill(s), and huge game breaking bugs, though. ANET never did anything to people who exploited Vengeance, but they DID do so for the Doppleganger exploit. This, if it works as described, would likely fall in line with the latter.

This is a BIG BAD BUG!!!!!

I may sound like a noob but what was the Doopleganger bug?
Killing the Doppleganger again and again for the 10k exp, immediately dropping out during the cutscene to prevent it from flagging that the event had been done before. Something to that extent, anyway.

No.. it's very strange. It seems that they time out and lose their "team status" so that they can attack anything. It's as if they switch teams to a third team, that you can target, but not attack (or heal I believe). The wierdest thing of all is how they turn DARK red (their names).... it's exactly like how it works in ultima online for playerkillers... I know it's a bug, but you gotta admit, the way it worked out is pretty freakin' cool.

first time i encountered this was a few weeks ago after a gvg.
during the gvg was an update and once we were done fighting we and the guild had err20s for a while. upon zoning to the hall (which happened very late) everyone lost the guild - and a guildmate who was standing in the guildhall turned red and died from our own hands... i got a screen on another pc - and the same thing is happening in the arenas: just for a diffrent reason.
(and no, we didn't kill him on purpose, it was already too late when we recognized the name... and btw: that monk used his wand on us first! *cough* we had to defend ourselves...)

and yes: the arena-bug is VERY annoying from time to time - cause there are already griefers out there that just want to ta&tk - sad and pathethic beeings...

Okay... I found out how it's done now. It's pretty stupid. AND, people are getting banned for it. So.. don't try it at home, kids.
